Jehane Johnson, MA, CCC, RCC
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#21096) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (#10008659) and hold a Master of Arts in Counselling from The College of New Jersey. I am also an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation and certified teacher.
I help clients identify and work through their desired changes, by blending positive psychology, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and solution-focused approaches. Clients use their strengths, gain greater control over their lives and make change to fulfill their potential. Clients understand the link between their thoughts, physical sensations and emotions. Together, we explore their overall wellness, areas of stress within their wellness wheel and create new habits for change.
I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), an evidence-based approach that helps people heal from traumatic experiences. Incorporating my expertise in ADHD coaching, mindfulness and positive parenting, I help bridge gaps between children, youth and parents. Families learn strategies that build resilience, improve communication and relationships and boost functioning at school, work and life.
Challenges with stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, relationships and life transitions are diminished as clients are listened to, better understand themselves and learn healthy ways to not only cope but thrive.
